Asus To Launch New Montevina- and Puma-Based Laptops
Asus will be releasing a handful of laptops at 2008 Computex in Taipei, where visitors to the can check out the new Asus M51VR laptop, the Asus M51VA laptop, the Asus M70VM laptop, the Asus F5Z laptop and the Asus X50Z laptop. Based on the company’s successful M51 and M70 laptops, the new M51VR laptop will come with a 2.26GHz Penryn P8400 processor and 3MB of L2 cache on Montevina's 1.06GHz bus. Next in line are the M51VA and the M70VM laptops (pictured), both featuring 2.53GHz T9400s processors with 6MB of cache. Topping off the list are Asus’ new Puma-based laptops, the F5Z laptop and the X50Z laptop, each boasting a 15.4-inch display and sporting 1.9GHz AMD Athlon64 X2 QL-60 chips, 667MHz buses and ATI Mobility Radeon HD3200 graphics.
