What’s on the horizon for mobile laptopping students around the globe? Conceived for the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2008 for Strategic News Service’s Project Inkwell, the Spark Laptop is the newest innovation in mobile education. Taking a cue from the XO low-cost laptop, Spark will feature the K-12 learning platform, which runs the gamut form kindergarten-level learners through high-school skill sets. Spark Laptop will be equipped with multimedia support, educational software, wireless data sharing and networking capacity, and will feature an LCD display, speedy start-up and low power consumption.
