Dell 500 Laptop – Dell’s First Made In India

New Kerala is reporting on Dell's announcement of its first laptop to be manufactured in India. According to Dell’s Vice-President of Asia Operation, Simon Wong, the new Dell 500 laptop, an easy-to-use laptop geared towards the educational market, will come equipped with Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux, an 8-in-1 multi-card reader, direct multi-media playback buttons and Wi-Fi catcher. Adds Wong, the 500 laptop is also the only entry-level product to come with an on-site warranty.
