First 10-incher with Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor – MSI Wind Laptop

MSI has finally officially released the new MSI Wind Laptop at Computex, and it’s everything we hoped it would be. The Wind laptop is the first 10-incher to boast the new Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor. Weighing a mere 2.6 pounds, this ultra-mobile laptop is quipped with an ergonomically designed keyboard that’s 20 per cent smaller than its full-sized counterparts, but just as functional. The Wind laptop comes with Intel’s 945GMS, 1GB DDR2/ 667MHz memory, a 2.5-inch 80GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Bluetooth capabilities, three USB ports and a 4-in-1 card reader. Equipped with Windows operating system, the Wind laptop will be available on June 16 at a retail price of $499. If you’re looking for Linux, the Wind with the alternate OS laptop will retail for $399, but you’ll have to wait until later this summer. MSI
