Penryn-Based Laptops By Acer, Fujitsu and Sony - the first Penryn laptops
Sources reveal that the first Penryn-based laptops are a-go for January 6, details that were released by laptop manufacturers Acer, Fujitsu Siemens and Sony, according to Daily Tech. But you can expect an official announcement on the new Penryn-based laptops at January’s Consumer Electronic Show.
Acer will be offering eight Penryn-based laptops, including on the small side, the 12.1-inch Acer Aspire 2920 laptop with Intel’s Core 2 Duo T8300 processor and 320GB HDD, and on a grander scale, the 20.1-inch Aspire 9920G laptop with WXSGA+ display, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT GPU, Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor and 500GB storage. Fujitsu Siemens will be revealing two Penryn-based laptops, the Amilo Pi 2550 laptop featuring Core 2 Duo T8300 processor, 2GB DDR2 memory, 15.4-inch WXGA screen, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 GPU and a 240GB HDD; and a little more beefed up, the Amilo Xi 2428 laptop with Core 2 Duo T9300, 2GB DDR2 memory, 15.4-inch WXGA screen, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS GPU and a 250GB HDD. Last but not least, consumers can expect five new Sony laptops. One of these is the 13.1-inch Vaio SZ71XN/C, featuring T8100 processor, WXGA screen resolution, Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics and a 200GB HDD. Another of the new models, the VAIO AR61ZU, is powered by a T8300 graphics processor and features 3GB DDR2 memory, WUXGA display, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor, 500GB storage space and a Blu-ray/DL DVD burner.
