Dual Is Better Than one – Asus G70 Laptop
Asus has just made a gamer's day with today's announcement of its new Asus G70 laptop. What sets the G70 laptop apart from its gaming counterparts is its "multi-dual engine" architecture. Asus has designed this laptop with duplex structure in its major system components. The G70 is powered by a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo, and Core 2 Extreme processors, and features a dual graphics engine – two independent Nvidia 8700M GT graphics engines working together via SLI technology. The G70 features 1GB GDDR3 dedicated physical memory and another 553/667MHz DDRII RAM, and a dual hard disk with a combined storage capacity of up to 640GB. The laptop's 17-inch WUXGA (1,920 by 1,200 pixels) high-definition display is enough to garner a double-take or two, and sound is second to none, thanks to Dolby Home Theater and Altec Lansing speakers. Additional adds-ons include a DVD Super-Multi Light Scribe drive with optional Blu-Ray, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, optional Bluetooth V2.0+EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n. Asus.
