Laptops like the new NEC ShieldPRO FC-N22A laptop are made to be pushed around. This ultra-rugged laptop proudly dons a brightly colored exterior that offers dust- and water-protection, and can withstand a drop of three ft – not bad for a 12.1-inch laptop that’s packing some pretty delicate equipment on the inside. The ShieldPRO FC-N22A laptop features an LED-backlit display, a low-power Core 2 Duo U7500 1.0GHz processor, ExpressCard, SD card, Windows XP operating system, optional GPS so you’re prepared when your travels take you off the beaten path, and a battery life of 12 hours. The ShieldPRO FC-N22A laptop is expected to make its first appearance in Japan at the end of June. NEC.
