New Gateway MC7803u and MC7801u Ultra-Mobile Laptops Unveiled
For the mobile entertainment enthusiast, Gateway has unveiled the first members of its MC laptop line, combining technology with user-friendly features for entertainment on the go. The Gateway MC7803u laptop and Gateway MC7801u laptop will come equipped with a clear and crisp 16-inch display, backlit multimedia controls and a cool exterior in burgundy or black with sleek silver accents. The pair will also feature a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor, the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics with 512MB memory, up to 4GB DDR2 RAM and a 320GB HDD. The MC7803u laptop also comes with a Multi-Format Dual Layer DVD/RW with DVD-RAM and LabelFlash Technology. You also get HDMI connectivity, a 5-in-1 card reader, four USB 2.0 ports, an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam, wireless draft N support and Gigabit Ethernet. “Gateway’s new MC-Series notebook PC line delivers an immersive entertainment experience by combining the latest in technology with features that are easy to use and give customers quick access to their digital media,” according to Ray Sawall, senior product manager for Gateway. “Plus, the MC-Series was inspired by modern automotive design, so it has an elegant, modern look and feel that is both subtle and distinctive.” The MC7803u laptop retails for $999, while the MC7801u laptop comes with a $950 price tag.
