New, Low-Cost Laptop – Everex gBook VA1500V Laptop
The new Everex gBook VA1500V laptop is the company’s newest low-cost laptop to hit the market. Based on a 1.50GHz VIA C7-M processor and VIA Chrome 9 HC integrated graphics, the gBook VA1500V laptop boasts 512MB DDR2 memory, a 60GB hard drive and a DVD/CD-RW Combo optical drive. The g-Book comes with a 15.4-inch display that offers 1,440-by-900-pixel resolution. For connectivity, you get integrated Atheros AR5005G 802.11b/g wireless network adapter, an Ethernet LAN port, three USB ports and a VGA output. With its standard 3-cell battery, the total weight comes in at 5.4 pounds. And best of all, the gBook VA1500V laptop retails for just $399 at New Egg. Everex.
