New NEC Versa N1100 Ultra-Mobile Laptop
NEC has announced its new addition to the ultra-mobile laptop market. The NEC Versa N1100 laptop will feature everything you’d expect from an ultra-mobile laptop – an Intel Atom processor, a compact 8.9-inch display, 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, WiFi and a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam – along with some surprises. The Versa N1100 laptop will sport a gesture-enabled touchpad and an ergonomic keyboard with a 17mm pitch. The Versa N1100 laptop will tip the scales at 2.57 pounds, sporting an “impact-resistant” design that takes a licking and keeps on ticking. The Versa N1100 laptop will be available in late November at a retail price of $749. NEC
