World’s Cheapest Laptop – HCL MiLeap X Series Laptop
India’s HCL, in collaboration with Microsoft, rang in the new year with what’s being touted as the “world’s cheapest laptop,” the new HCL MiLeap X Series ultra-mobile laptop. The MiLeap X laptop is a Linux-based system powered by an Intel Celeton M Processor at 900MHz. MiLeap X laptop specs include an Intel 915GMS chipset, 512MB DDR2, 2GB SSD; DC-In, headphone, and mic-in jacks, integrated microphone RJ-45, SD Card Slot, LAN port, WiFi B/G, two USB 2.0 ports, and an impressively small seven-inch TFT LCD display. The MiLeap X ultra-mobile laptop retails for around $350. HCL.
