World’s First Server-Class Laptop – Eurocom D901C PHANTOM-X Server Laptop
Eurocom is set to release its new Eurocom D901C PHANTOM-X Server laptop, touted as the world’s first server-class laptop. The D901C PHANTOM-X Server laptop comes with an Intel Quad Core XEON processor running at 2.83GHz with 12MB of L2 cache, 1.5 terabytes of storage via three SATA-300 hard drives complemented by a variety of RAID options, 8GB DDR2-800 memory, and an internal one-hour battery. Additional specs for this 12-pound package include a 17.1-inch LCD display offering up to 1,920-by-1,200-pixel resolution; Multi DVD+-RW/-RAM, Blu Ray or HD DVD; a 2-megapixel webcam; and Gigabit Ethernet port. Says Eurocom, the D901C PHANTOM-X Server laptop is the “ultimate mobile workstation for graphics professionals, gaming, 3D modeling, CAD digital content creators, engineers and anyone demanding maximum power and video, or a mobile server on-the-go.” The D901C PHANTOM-X Server laptop will retail for approximately $3,000 or more, depending on the configuration you choose.
